Solid-Core Doors

Solid-core doors feature a dense core material, providing exceptional strength and durability, often made from wood-based products. They offer excellent sound insulation and thermal efficiency, making them perfect for spaces requiring privacy and noise control. Their solid construction allows for a smooth surface, suitable for a variety of styles and finishes, and adaptable for both interior and exterior use.

  • Particle Board: Compressed wood chips and resin form a dense, stable core, providing solid-core doors with durability and sound-dampening qualities. This core is an economical choice, offering interior doors a practical balance between performance and cost.
  • LSL: LSL surrounds the particleboard core, adding structural integrity and preventing warping. It serves as a support for subsequent layers, enhancing overall door stability.
  • Solid Wood Edge Banding: This protective edge varies by door type. For Paint Grade (3-Layer) doors, poplar or basswood edge banding is used, offering a smooth surface ideal for painting. For Stain Grade (5-Layer) doors, matching solid wood edge banding complements the veneer, ensuring a seamless stained finish.
  • HDF: HDF serves as the outermost layer, offering a smooth, paint-ready surface. In Stain Grade doors, HDF acts as a base for the veneer, enhancing stability and ensuring a flawless appearance.
  • Veneer (5-Layer Stain Grade Only): A thin layer (approximately 0.6 mm) of high-quality wood veneer is applied over the HDF on stain-grade doors, simulating the look of solid wood.
